This six hour class over three weeks is specifically designed to give you all of the basic knitting skills you need. In the end you will have made a sweet basketweave buttoned cowl!

Skill Level Required: none; except the desire to learn!

Here is what you will learn in this class:

• casting on (how to start)
• the knit stitch
• the purl stitch
• binding off (how to stop)
• one row buttonhole
• how to recognize and fix basic mistakes
• basic pattern reading

• 9mm bamboo needles
• 1 skein Estelle Chunky
• 2 buttons
• tape measure
• darning needle

Materials supplied by students:

• pen or pencil to take notes (if desired)
