In this workshop we will cover how to finish your hand knit garments as well as fix mistakes in your knitting (yes, it happens to everyone!). Techniques covered include: seaming, dropped stitches, extra stitches, twisted stitches, tight tension.
Participants must come to class with a total of 4 swatches knit up with contrasting colours of yarn. Two swatches will be in stockinette stitch, bind off only one of the swatches, the other one should still be on your needles; the other two swatches will be in garter stitch. Swatches must be at least 10 cm by 10 cm (4" by 4"). Along with the swatches, please bring yarn to seam your swatches, a tapestry needle, knitting needles in the size appropriate for your yarn and crochet hooks in a variety of sizes (if you have them).
Prerequisites: beginner to intermediate knitter, must be comfortable with knit, purl, cast on and bind off.
